An
actor, writer, musician, and producer, Randall England was mentored by the famed Kim
Stanley, “the female
Brando.” In addition to co-producing THE NEEDS OF KIM STANLEY, England is also
developing and producing THE HOUSE THAT JACK BUILT, written by Kevin Bernhardt,
with Amy Redford attached to direct, about the third worst, man-made environmental disaster in the
world - Picher,
Oklahoma. From his own script, England is producing ANGEL OF FLORENCE AND
NORMANDIE about the Reverend Bennie Newton, recently profiled in The Los
Angeles Times on the twentieth anniversary of the L.A. riots. As the artist RAE - look for his album "SLADE" released through Vital Music/Gotham Records.
Melanie Jones earned
a B.A. from Brown University and worked ten seasons acting and directing with
Trinity Rep, Rhode Island’s Tony Award-winning regional theatre, where she was the first female
director. A Lifetime Member of the Actors Studio, Jones studied with Kim
Stanley. In Los Angeles, where she is currently a member of the Elephant
Theatre Company, she created the roles of Sister in CRANE, MISSISSIPPI and Fran
in SUPERNOVA, both written by Tim McNeil and directed by Kristin Hanggi. Jones
has worked extensively with the Weston Playhouse in Vermont, and was the
Artistic Director of Little Fish Theatre in L.A. from 2008 to 2010.
Dani Minnick’s FALLING LIKE THIS
premiered on the Sundance Channel, 2002. An award winner at numerous festivals,
FALLING LIKE THIS was the closing night film at Slamdance 2001. Minnick’s WORLD
UPON HER SHOULDER aired on Lifetime, in addition to screening at several
prestigious festivals. Her stage direction has received LA Weekly and
Drama-Logue Awards. At the American Film Institute (where she began a
collaboration with Alessandro Zezza), she received the first-year directing
award and Ashley Amulis Scholarship. Minnick has taught at the School of Visual
Arts, UCLA Extension, Chapman University, AFI, The Maine Workshops, and
Idyllwild School for the Arts, and served as co-chair of The Alliance of Women
Directors. She studied acting with Kim Stanley.
After graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design, Alessandro Zezza began work as an FX technician and fabricator on such titles as BATMAN FOREVER, BATMAN AND ROBIN, MISSION TO MARS and Steven Spielberg’s AI. His work on the film FRAILEJON won the Heartland Film Festival Award for Outstanding Contribution in Cinematography and Editing. After meeting Dani Minnick at the American Film Institute, Alessandro collaborated with her on WORLD UPON HER SHOULDER for Lifetime Television, and FALLING LIKE THIS, for which he won The Hamptons International Film Festival Golden Starfish Award for Best Cinematography. Other cinematography credits include THIS GIRL'S LIFE starring James Woods. Since 2002, Alessandro has been a lead digital modeler, editor and visual effects designer for General Motors Advanced Concepts Studio in North Hollywood.
